PROJECT STATUS: Design Competition
DESCRIPTION: Tokyo is a city in a state of constant flux. High property values, a mobile population and rapid turnover have created environments where buildings & open space hold no value. Although construction technologies, methods & materials are extremely advanced, urban living spaces have become extremely confined. Today’s self- contained houses remain a far cry from the Kominka of only a century ago. Seventy/Thirty redefines urban housing through lightweight materials, robotic on-site fabrication, high level customization as well as by creating spaces which reintroduce nature and openness.
